1- In October, $1.48M worth of digital yuan were distributed through a lottery, piloting the first open-to-public test of the nation’s CBDC e-CNY in Shenzhen. This time, in Suzhou City of Jiangsu province, another round of the Chinese digital currency giveaway will be taking place through a lottery. Each lucky winner will be getting 200 yuan which at this time, is worth around $30. A maximum of 100,000 people will be able to benefit from the giveaway, making the total amount of digital currency to be given away around $3M. 1,000 voluntary participants will be selected to test the offline capabilities of their digital wallets.
2- JD.com, China’s e-commerce company announced that they will be accepting digital yuan, making them the first web based platform to accept the nation’s CBDC e-CNY. The winners from the Suzhou pilot will be able to spend their digital currencies they’ve got from the lottery.

4- On Dec 2nd, a Twitter user asked Ripple’s CTO David Schwartz the following question “If Nodes, validators and the community at large got together and we agree that its better for the community to burn the 50 billion XRP ripple has in escrows would that be possible?” Schwartz’s answer: “Yes.
